The Massasauga Rattlesnake varies in colors, from

light grey to dark brown, with brown or black blotches

on its back.  The juvenile Massasauga, are marked with

contrasting colors, but are normally lighter  in color

than the adults. The Massasauga Rattlesnake is a highly

venomus snake, responsible for many human deaths each

year. Its’ rattle isn’t always distinguished, for this reason

the Massasauga Ratlesnake is commonly mistaken as other

non-venomous snakes, for its pattern looks similar to other

snakes. Like any other snake, this snake can strike in any

position.
