Can be found: Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin and Wyoming

General description:
The Plains Garter Snake is a non-venomous snake.
It’s body color can be black or have a spotched,
checkered like pattern on it. It has a red, yellow,
orange, or white stripe running down the center of its
back, with two lateral stripes running down its side,
one on each side, with a yellow or grey color.
