Short description: non-venomous, no neck, rounded head, typical, weekly keeled scales, rounded pupils

General description:

The Rough Earth Snake is a small snake. It is

rarely seen for it hides under dead leaves and

other debris. It is a harmless non-venomous

snake. Its body coloration is brown, grey, or a

reddish color. Its belly is normally a white cream

to grey color. The juvenile look like the adults. This 

snake is normallu found in woded areas, in tree

stumped and rotted logs. It shape help it burrow

down into the ground, where it feeds on insects,

earthworms, slugs, and amphibians.
