General description:

The Shorthead Garter Snake is a non-venomous

snake. Its body color varies from brown to grey. It

has a yellow to tan stripe running down the center

of its back, with two lateral stripes running down its

side, one on each side, with a yellow or tan color. This

snake has a short head, whitch gave it its name, the

Shorthead Garter Snake.
